My case was dismissed, but communication was pretty much nonexistent. Never really felt like the firm fought for me, as we dawdled and waited until a calendar call notice appeared to really spring into any sort of action. I lost my job and begged for over a year for them to actively get involved in my case. When discovery didn’t appear after months upon months, I asked them to look into it, but was constantly told “if any updates we will be in touch”.The only reason I would suggest hiring this firm over any other, would be if you need a payment plan and you are okay with them riding the state’s recommendation all the way down the line. Felt like I was nothing more than an afterthought. I lost my way of life over this and stressed the urgency to get this rectified ASAP done day 1 and have had extreme pressure applied to my life this entire time. Couldn’t really contact anyone except their paralegals, which feels like a call center of people who aren’t really connected or involved with the case personally in any way…they’ll argue that they give you their cell number, but it also gets fed through a call center type forwarding service, so don’t be misled. They never once met with me in real life, though I offered and requested such on multiple occasions.Again, sure, my case got dismissed, but they didn’t do a damn thing toward that — I put in all the work. I did my own anger management, I built my own brag book, I did my own research, did my own communications with the State. Mr. Patrick had told me as recent as December 2024, that they had received NO COMMUNICATION from my attorney’s office and that was over a year into the case’s activity, and nearly a full year after hiring the firm and being represented by Mr. Rosenbloom. Mind you, discovery was available and I was instructed that my attorney would need to file paperwork to claim it; all this time, I was told it simply wasn’t available. A complete lack of integrity. I understand a heavy caseload and that my case was a bit far from your center point, but my goodness…could’ve just not accepted me..Thanks for I guess giving me a name to stand in front of, which may have played a role in the State’s decision, MAYBE..

Unfortunately after spending more than $5k I wasn’t able to properly communicate with this lawyer. The day of my court date he showed up late and then tried to convince me to plead guilty. Luckily I knew my rights and was able to reduce my charges with a NOLO and had no further issues. I wish I never wasted my money and time.

Not only is what you wrote completely wrong but it isn't possible. A Judge would NOT allow you to enter a plea without your attorney if you were represented in court. Not only that, but the fee you are alleging you paid, would not have been for a case that ANY judge would have allowed a NOLO plea. Perhaps you have listed this under the incorrect law firm? Otherwise, I think this is defamation (or libel depending on how we proceed).

I regret to share that my experience with Michael Barber & Associates was highly unsatisfactory. Attorney Brandon was retained to represent me in a legal matter. He initially met with me at the Cobb facility, took my statement, and had me complete a HIPAA form. However, following that meeting, there was a complete lack of follow-through. My case file appeared to sit untouched, and despite my repeated calls over the course of a week to obtain a status update, primarily through Lamar. I received no meaningful communication or progress updates.Due to this lack of responsiveness and performance, I made the decision to terminate the agreement. When my child’s mother attempted to request a refund, having been the person who initially signed all the paperwork on my behalf, she was informed that she could not be issued a refund as she was not technically the client.I later spoke directly with Michael Barber to express my concerns regarding the mishandling of my case. During our conversation, he acknowledged the situation and agreed to issue a full refund. Unfortunately, only half of the funds were returned, despite his initial commitment. After multiple follow-up attempts to recover the remaining balance, my messages went unanswered. I also requested an itemized invoice detailing the services rendered and the applicable hourly rates, but never received a response.Additionally, I inquired about the medical records that had supposedly been requested as part of the case preparation. As of a week and three days after my meeting with Brandon, no such request had been made.I further informed Mr. Barber that there was no binding contract bearing my signature, and formally requested that the remaining funds be returned. After this communication, all correspondence from him ceased.After terminating my relationship with this firm, I retained a new attorney on a Tuesday. By Wednesday, a bond had been secured, and I was released on Thursday—highlighting the stark contrast in effectiveness and professionalism.Based on my experience, I cannot in good conscience recommend Michael Barber & Associates. In my opinion, the firm demonstrated poor communication, a lack of follow-through, and questionable ethical practices.

We worked diligently on your case. Your attorney you hired second finished what we started.
